| The start of Team Oakes Racing |
In 2004 we started our racing with Austin he was 6 years old. With his sister Haley the crew
chief( she was 8 years old). Austin had a great year!! He won the track Championship at
Frozen Ocean Speedway in the novice class and also competed at Ransomville Speedway.
Haley wanted her chance to drive in 2005 and that started Team Oakes Racing. It turned out
great!! Austin won 5 times and Haley won 6 times between Ransomville and Langford
Speedway's.
2006 brought some new challenges with both kids moving into the JR-1 class. It was a
tough year but both kids registered several heat wins and Austin got one win. Haley
finished 3rd at Merrittville Speedway in July out of 22 karts of there Summer Nationals.
2007 Austin is staying in the JR-1 class and Haley will be Moving up to JR-2 Class. Good
Luck to all Racers in 2007.
